The phasing out of R-22
From January 1st 2010 onwards it was forbidden to use virgin R-22 for service and maintenance of air conditioning systems in Europe. From January 1st 2015 the use of R-22 for service and maintenance will be completely forbidden. Between January 2010 and January 2015 only recycled R-22 can be used for service and maintenance purposes.
As the R-22 phase-out in Europe might force customers to consider the replacement or upgrade of their R-22 system before the end of its lifetime, Daikin looked for a cost-effective solution. The replacement VRV III-Q and VRV IV-Q systems were developed. This new range offers customers the possibility to upgrade R-22 systems to a new R-410A system using the existing field pipe work. The new system can achieve substantially higher efficiencies while keeping business disruption and investment cost to a minimum.
We can carry out site surveys to investigate the suitability of your existing VRV installation and advise on the best possible solution. We can supply, install and commission the VRV III-Q and VRV IV-Q equipment to a very high standard while remaining competitive.
